Artists generally now can drop singles off of mixtapes. You can create revenue off of your mixtapes now. There are just so many ways that you can optimize your fan base by creating a mixtape. The last key ill share with you is creativity. You of course have to do something that know one has done or something special. Find some creative way of portraying your vision of your project. You never know who is listening so make sure they have something exciting to say after they listen to you.
