There are a vast amount of ways to promote your music online. Promotion is very key in the music business. Promoting a song, mixtape, album or music can be the reason why the project flips or flops. You have to take very cafeul care with planning this step out and you can NEVER do too much promoting.

Twitter can be the most useful tool for your promoting as a producer. This is where you can connect to artists, record labels, A and R’s, everything. It’s a great way to make connections to the internet world. You can also benefit greatly by studying the game and competitions. Look up your competitions twitter page and there are more then likely links to their websites and pages with their music. Twitter has many opportunities to grow your fan base and help you sell units or instrumentals. Don’t let your twitter define your career though. You should never spam your music or links. Set aside a reasonable number of tweets to tweet about your instrumentals a day. If your spaming your links its more likely that the people that have to put up with it will not view your music or worse, unfollow you.

 

  1. EMAIL

Your email can single handedly get you sales or even better if you use it right. You have to understand that there has to be some sort of format when you create a email to people. The more professional you get the better. These are people of all ages viewing your emails your sending asking them to check out your music, so make sure its neat and catching. Also build a email list because you need to eventually begin to build an email list for your clients. Treat emailing these people as a priority cause these are relatipnships you don’t want to lose.

 

3.BlOGS

Blogs are so important in today’s industry. They are the sole engine of hip hop. Blogs make sure the music gets out there no matter what. Blogs run the community and you need to appear on a couple If you really want to get your music out there. Whether it be your song or just your instrumental to someone elses song, your music needs to be on a couple of blogs. Keep an open mind to starting your own blog also. It could draw a lot of traffic to your name and brand.
